Cyclone

February 6, 2008

Paper thin skin
Exposes everything
But I try real hard
To tow this line for you
To cover up these truths with you

Who knew we would return
So soon to this spider web?

And when I go to bed
Its you that I dwell on
And when he goes to bed
Its me that he dreams of
And when she goes to bed
its you that she misses
And when you go to bed
It’s the guilt that gets you

AND ITS NOT FAIR
Because we played by the rules
And were never cruel
We told the truth the best we could
And we kept it down where it didn’t interfere
And now its them that holds us back
And now its us that can’t attack
The mounting tension in the air

If I was confident in the truth
the ringing of it would never leave my ears,
all these fears would melt away
and I would know the words to say
That would make you believe the way I do
That somethings shouldn’t be ignored
But instead followed to the core
of these cyclone situations.
